The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 58(9)(b) of the Scottish Elections (Representation and Reform) Act 2025 (“the 2025 Act”).The Electoral Commission have prepared draft guidance entitled “statutory guidance on imprints for non-party campaigners at Scottish Parliamentary elections and council elections in Scotland” in accordance with section 58(1) of the 2025 Act and submitted it to the Scottish Ministers in accordance with section 58(3) of that Act.The Scottish Ministers have approved the draft statutory guidance without modifications and laid a copy of it before the Scottish Parliament in accordance with section 58(5) of the 2025 Act.
Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Scottish Elections (Representation and Reform) Act 2025 (Statutory Guidance on Imprints on Electronic Materials) (Appointed Date) Regulations 2025 and come into force on 17 November 2025.
(2) In these Regulations “the statutory guidance” means the statutory guidance on imprints for non-party campaigners at Scottish Parliamentary elections and council elections in Scotland, a draft of which was laid before the Scottish Parliament on 16 September 2025.

The date appointed for the coming into force of the statutory guidance is 17 November 2025.
