The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 19(1) and 124(1), (2) and (2A) of the Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1966, makes the following Regulations.
Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Scallop Enhancement Sites (Prohibited Methods of Fishing) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2025 and come into operation on 1st July 2025.
Amendment of the Scallop Enhancement Sites (Prohibited Methods of Fishing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022

(1) The Scallop Enhancement Sites (Prohibited Methods of Fishing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2 after the definition of “Roaring Rock scallop enhancement site” insert—
 “scallop” means—
(a) King scallop (Pecten maximus); or
(b) Queen scallop (Aequipecten opercularis).
(3) In regulation 3(1) for the words “diving for scallops” substitute “fishing for scallops by any means.”.
