The Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Generating Station (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2024

Coming into force 2 February 2024

An application has been made, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 6 to the Planning Act 2008, to the Welsh Ministers in accordance with the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders) Regulations 2011 for a non-material change to the Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Generating Station Order 2017.
The Welsh Ministers have had regard to the effect of the change on the Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Generating Station Order 2017 as amended and are satisfied that the change is not material.
The Welsh Ministers, having considered the application, the responses to the publicity and consultation required by regulations 6 and 7 of the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders) Regulations 2011, have decided to make the change proposed in the application.

Accordingly, the Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 2(1) and (9) of Schedule 6 to the Planning Act 2008, make the following Order.
Citation and commencement

The title of this Order is the Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Generating Station (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2024 and it comes into force on 2 February 2024.
Amendment to the Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Generating Station Order 2017

(1) The Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage Generating Station Order 2017 (“the 2017 Order”) is amended as follows.
(2) For paragraph 2 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the 2017 Order substitute “The authorised development must be commenced no later than 29 March 2026.”.
