The Lord Chancellor makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(3) and 41(1)(a) and (b) and (2)(a) and (b) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012.
Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 5th December 2024.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
Amendment to the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) Regulations 2024

(1) The Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2(5) (amendments to the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) Regulations 2013), in the table headed “Higher and Lower Standard Fees table” following sub-paragraph (5) of inserted paragraph 5B (representation in the youth court), in the column headed “Lower Standard Fee (£)”, for “882.47”, substitute “822.47”.
