The Access to the Countryside (Coastal Margin) (Aust to Brean Down No. 1) Order 2022

Coming into force 14th June 2022
The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3A(10) of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Access to the Countryside (Coastal Margin) (Aust to Brean Down No. 1) Order 2022 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
End of access preparation period

(1) In relation to land which is coastal margin as a result of the relevant approval, the day appointed as the day on which the access preparation period ends is 15th June 2022.
(2) In paragraph (1), “the relevant approval” means the approval by the Secretary of State under section 52(1) of the Act of the relevant reports on 9th July 2020.
(3) In paragraph (2), “the relevant reports” means the part of the report titled “Huckers Bow to Birnbeck Pier” from the junction joining route sections ABD-7-S017 and ABD-7-S018 to Birnbeck Pier, and the whole of the reports titled “Report ABD 8: Birnbeck Pier to Uphill Beach”, “Report ABD 9: Uphill Beach to Brean Cross Sluice” and “Report ABD 10: Brean Down Sluice to Brean Down Fort” submitted by Natural England to the Secretary of State under sections 51 and 55A of the Act on 25 July 2019.
(4) In this article, “the Act” means the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949.
