The Public Health (Notifiable Diseases) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022

Coming into operation 7th June 2022
The Department of Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(2) of the Public Health Act (Northern Ireland) 1967, makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Notifiable Diseases) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022 and shall come into operation on 7th June 2022.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Public Health Act (Northern Ireland) 1967.
Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Act
2 

(1) Schedule 1 to the Act shall be amended by the insertion of Monkeypox.
(2) Accordingly the notifiable diseases to which the Act applies from the commencement of this Order are those set out in the Schedule which shall be substituted for Schedule 1 to the Act.
Revocation
3 
The Public Health Notifiable Diseases Order (Northern Ireland) 2021 is revoked.
