The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment No.3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2014
Made 21st October 2014
Coming into operation 11th November 2014
The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(4) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971  as adapted by section 7(9) of that Act and now vested in it  and after consultation with the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs in accordance with section 7(7) of that Act.
Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment No.3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2014 and comes into operation on 11th November 2014.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954  shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Amendment to the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001

(1) The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001  is amended as follows:
(2) In paragraph 1(a) of Part 1 of the Schedule, after “Gamma-butyrolactone” insert—“Khat”
