The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011

Coming into operation 28th March 2011
The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7(4) and (5) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, as adapted by section 7(9) of the Act and now vested in it  and after consultation with the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs in accordance with section 7(7) of that Act.
Citation and commencement
1 
This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011 and shall come into operation on 28th March 2011.
Interpretation
2 

(1) In this Order “the 2001 Order” means the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001 .
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
Amendment of the 2001 Order
3 
In paragraph 1(a) of Part 1 of the Schedule to the 2001 Order, omit “4-Methylmecathinone”.
Revocation
4 
Paragraphs (a) and (b) of Article 3 of the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010 are revoked.
