The Education (Amendments to Regulations regarding the Recognition of Professional Qualifications) (Wales) Regulations 2007

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on the National Assembly for Wales by sections 132, 134, 135, 145(1) and (2) and 210(7) of the Education Act 2002 and now vested in them  and in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 19 and 42(6) and (7) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998 and now vested in them  make the following Order:
Name, commencement and application

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Education (Amendments to Regulations regarding the Recognition of Professional Qualifications) (Wales) Regulations 2007 and come into force on 20 October 2007.
(2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.
Amendment to the Education (School Teachers' Qualifications)

			(Wales) Regulations 2004

In paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 to the Education (School Teacher's Qualifications)

			(Wales) Regulations 2004  for the words  “Article 3 of Council Directive 89/48 EEC on a general system for the recognition of higher-education diplomas awarded on completion of professional education and training of at least three years' duration” substitute “
            the European Communities (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) Regulations 2007
          ”.

In regulation 2 of the Head Teachers' Qualifications and Registration (Wales) Regulations 2005  in the definition of  “the 2005 Regulations” for the words  “the European Communities (Recognition of Professional Qualifications)

				(First General System) Regulations 2005” substitute “
            The European Communities (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) Regulations 2007
          ”.
