The Education (National Curriculum) (Science at Key Stage 4) (England) Order 2007

Coming into force 1st September 2007
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 85(3A)(b) of the Education Act 2002:
Citation, commencement, interpretation and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Education (National Curriculum) (Science at Key Stage 4) (England) Order 2007 and comes into force on 1st September 2007.
(2) In this Order, “GCSE” means General Certificate of Secondary Education.
(3) This Order applies to maintained schools in England.
Specification of sets of qualifications

The following are specified as sets of qualifications for the purposes of section 85(3A)(b) of the Education Act 2002—
(a) Science GCSE and Additional Science GCSE;
(b) Physics GCSE, Chemistry GCSE and Biology GCSE.
