The Secretary of State, who is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community and in relation to measures in the veterinary and phytosanitary fields for the protection of public health, makes the following Regulations.
Title, application and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Cattle Identification (Amendment) Regulations 2007; they apply in England and come into force on 1st May 2007.
Amendment to the Cattle Identification Regulations 2007

The Cattle Identification Regulations 2007 are amended by adding after regulation 3(3) the following paragraph—“
(4) Any person who fails to comply with paragraph (1) or (3) is guilty of an offence.”
