The Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Marking of Meat, Meat Products, Minced Meat and Meat Preparations) (Wales) Regulations 2001

 Coming into force 9th May 2001
 The National Assembly for Wales, being designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by that section, makes the following Regulations:
 Title, application and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Marking of Meat, Meat Products, Minced Meat and Meat Preparations) (Wales) Regulations 2001; they apply to Wales and shall come into force at 5pm on 9th May 2001.
 Amendment to the Meat Products (Hygiene) Regulations 1994

In—
(a) sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 3A; and
(b) sub-paragraphs (1) and (2) of paragraph 3Bof Part VI of Schedule 2 to the Meat Products (Hygiene) Regulations 1994  for “2001/172/EC”, substitute “
            2001/356/EC 
          ”.
 Amendment to the Fresh Meat (Hygiene and Inspection) Regulations 1995

In sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph 9 of Schedule 12 to the Fresh Meat (Hygiene and Inspection) Regulations 1995( ) for “2001/172/EC”, substitute “
            2001/356/EC
          ”.
 Amendment to the Minced Meat and Meat Preparations (Hygiene) Regulations 1995

(1) The Minced Meat and Meat Preparations (Hygiene) Regulations 1995  are amended in accordance with this regulation and a reference to a regulation by number alone is a reference to the regulation so numbered in those Regulations.
(2) In regulation 7—
(a) omit paragraphs (1A) and (1B); and
(b) in paragraph (6), for “2001/172/EC”, substitute “
                    2001/356/EC
                  ”.
(3) In regulation 8—
(a) omit paragraphs (4A) and (4B); and
(b) in paragraph (7), for “2001/172/EC”, substitute “
                    2001/356/EC
                  ”.
