The Price Marking (Petrol) (Amendment) Order 1987

Coming into force 1st March 1987
The Secretary of State, after consulting in accordance with section 4(3) of the Prices Act 1974 with the organisations therein referred to, in exercise of his powers under that section and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order may be cited as the Price Marking (Petrol) (Amendment) Order 1987 and shall come into operation on 1st March 1987.

The Price Marking (Petrol) Order 1980 is hereby amended—
(a) in Article 2 by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting therefor the following paragraph:“
(1) In this Order, a grade of petrol means one of the following grades, that is to say, 2 star, 3 star or 4 star as mentioned in the British Standard specification for leaded petrol (gasoline) for motor vehicles B.S. 4040: 1985 published by the British Standards Institution on 31st May 1985 or as the case may be Premium or Regular as mentioned in the British Standard specification for unleaded petrol (gasoline) for motor vehicles B.S. 7070: 1985 published by the British Standards Institution on 31st October 1985.”; and
(b) in paragraph 8(2) in Part III of the Schedule by inserting the word “leaded” before the word “petrol” in the second place in which it occurs.
