An Act for continuing a former Act to prevent false and Double Returns of Members to serve in Parliament

Recital of Stat. 7 & 8 W. III. c. 7. § 7;
The said Act continued.Whereas in the First Session of the Parliament begun the Two and twentieth Day of November in the
Seventh Year of His present Majesties Reign an Act was made intituled An Act to prevent False and
Double Returns of Members to serve in Parliament which is thereby enacted to continue for the Term of Seven
Years and from thence to the End of the next Session of Parliament and no longer which said Act has been
found by Experience to be very usefull for the Preservation of the Rights of the severall Counties Cities and
Boroughs of this Kingdom in the Election of Members to serve in Parliament Be it  enacted by the Kings most
Excellent Majesty by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spirituall and Temporall and Commons in
Parliament assembled and by the Authority of the same That the said Act and every Clause therein contained shall
hereafter remain and be in full force and is hereby continued for and during the Term and Space of Eleven Years
and from thence to the End of the First Session of the next Parliament and no longer
