(1) This Order may be cited as the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2024 (Commencement, Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 2024.
(2) In this Order, “the Measure” means the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2024.

The Measure, so far as not already in force, except for section 11(5), comes into force on 17th May 2024.

(1) The amendments made by section 9(3) and (4) of the Measure (qualifications of certain judges) do not have effect in relation to a nomination made before 17th May 2024.
(2) The amendments made by section 11(3) and (4) of the Measure (applications for leave to appeal) do not have effect in relation to an application for leave to appeal made before 17th May 2024.
(3) The steps required to comply with the provisions inserted by section 13(3) and (4) of the Measure in Schedule 2 to the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction and Care of Churches Measure 2018 (constitution of diocesan advisory committees) need not, but may, be taken before the date when the next new appointments are due to be made under paragraph 2(6) of that Schedule.
