(1) This Order may be cited as the Mid Devon (Electoral Changes) Order 2024.
(2) This article and article 2 come into force on the day after the day on which this Order is made.
(3) Article 3 comes into force—
(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which this Order is made;
(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2025.
(4) Article 4 comes into force—
(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on 15th October 2026;
(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2027.
(5) This Order extends to England and Wales but applies in relation to England only.

In this Order—
 “the Council’s Halberton Parish Council Order” means the Mid Devon District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) (Halberton Parish Council) Order [2023];
 “the Council’s Uffculme Parish Council Order” means the Mid Devon District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) (Uffculme Parish Council) Order [2023];
 “the Council’s Willand Parish Council Order” means the Mid Devon District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) (Willand Parish Council) Order [2023];
 a reference to the “Map” is a reference to the map appended to the Council’s Halberton Parish Council Order”.

(1) The areas marked A and B on the Map that cease to be part of the parish of Halberton by virtue of the Council’s Halberton Parish Council Order and become part of the parish of Uffculme by virtue of the Council’s Uffculme Parish Council Order, cease to be part of the Tiverton East county electoral division and become part of the Willand & Uffculme county electoral division.
(2) The area marked C on the Map that ceases to be part of the parish of Halberton by virtue of the Council’s Halberton Parish Council Order and becomes part of the parish of Willand by virtue of the Council’s Willand Parish Council Order, ceases to be part of the Tiverton East county electoral division and becomes part of the Willand & Uffculme county electoral division.

(1) The areas marked A and B on the Map that cease to be part of the parish of Halberton by virtue of the Council’s Halberton Parish Council Order and become part of the parish of Uffculme by virtue of the Council’s Uffculme Parish Council Order, cease to be part of the Halberton district ward and become part of the Lower Culm district ward.
(2) The area marked C on the Map that ceases to be part of the parish of Halberton by virtue of the Council’s Halberton Parish Council Order and becomes part of the parish of Willand by virtue of the Council’s Willand Parish Council Order, ceases to be part of the Halberton district ward and becomes part of the Lower Culm district ward.
