(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2023 and come into force on 16th November 2023.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

(1) The Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) Regulations 2013 are amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph 13A(1) of Schedule 1 (fee for video recorded cross-examination or re-examination), for “£670”, substitute “£1000”.
(3) In the table following paragraph 2(8) of Schedule 4 (police station attendance — fixed fees and escape fee thresholds), in the entry for the “Llanelli” Scheme in the Criminal Justice System Area of “Dyfed Powys”—
(a) in the “Fixed Fee (£)” column, for “159.51” substitute “204.63”; and
(b) in the “Escape Fee Threshold (£)” column, for “490.29” substitute “656.42”.

The amendments made by these Regulations apply to cases where a determination under section 13 (advice and assistance for individuals in custody) or section 16 (representation for criminal proceedings) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 is made on or after 16th November 2023.
