This Order may be cited as The A453 Trunk Road (Mill Hill Roundabout) (Detrunking) Order 2022 and shall come into force on

In this Order—
(a) “the trunk road” means the A453 Trunk Road;
(b) “the plan” means the plan numbered LWL/675/X23 and marked “The A453 Trunk Road (Mill Hill Roundabout) (Detrunking) Order 2022” signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at Deposited Document Services, One Priory Square, Priory Street, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 1EA; and
(c) “classified road” as a classification for a highway means that the highway is not a principal road for the purposes of enactments or instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads but is a classified road for the purpose of every enactment and instruments which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State and which does not specifically refer to their classification as principal roads.

The area of highway described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by cross hatching on the plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road from the date on which this Order comes into force and responsibility for which will pass to the local highway authority, Nottinghamshire County Council on that date.

The area of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is 360 square metres of the existing A453 Trunk Road forming part of the Mill Hill Roundabout, in the District of Rushcliffe, in the County of Nottinghamshire, as show by cross hatching on the plan.
