
Article 1 
This Regulation lays down transitional measures for the application of certain provisions of Regulations (EC) No 853/2004 and (EC) No 854/2004 for a transitional period from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 202021 April 2021.
Article 2 
By way of derogation from Article 1(3)(d) of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004, the provisions laid down in that Regulation shall not apply to the direct supply, by the producer, of small quantities of meat from poultry and lagomorphs slaughtered on the farm to the final consumer or to local retail establishments directly supplying to the final consumer.
Article 3 

1. Article 6(1) of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 shall not apply to imports of products of animal origin for which no harmonised public health import requirements have been established.Imports of such products shall comply with the public health import requirements of the Member State of importGreat Britain.
2. By way of derogation from Article 6(4) of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004, food business operators importing food containing both products of plant origin and processed products of animal origin, others than those referred to in Article 3(1) and (3) of Regulation (EU) No 28/2012 shall be exempt from the requirements referred to in Article 6(4) of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004.Imports of such products shall comply with the public health import requirements of the Member State of importGreat Britain.
Article 4 
Chapter III of Regulation (EC) No 854/2004 shall not apply to imports of products of animal origin for which no harmonised public health import requirements have been established.
Imports of such products shall comply with the public health import requirements of the Member State of import.
Article 5 
This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It shall apply from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2020 except in relation to Article 3, which applies until 21 April 2021.
