(1) The title of this Order is the Education (National Curriculum) (Attainment Targets and Programmes of Study) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2015 and it comes into force on 1 September 2015.
(2) This Order applies in relation to Wales.

(1) The Education (National Curriculum) (Attainment Targets and Programmes of Study) (Wales) Order 2008 is amended as follows.
(2) In article 2(1)—
(a) in the definition of “the English document” for “January 2008 entitled “English in the National Curriculum for Wales”” substitute “August 2015 entitled “Curriculum for Wales: Programme of Study for English - Key Stages 2-4””;
(b) in the definition of “the mathematics document” for “January 2008 entitled “Mathematics in the National Curriculum for Wales”” substitute “August 2015 entitled “Curriculum for Wales: Programme of Study for Mathematics – Key Stages 2-4””;
(c) in the definition of “the Welsh document” for “January 2008 entitled “Welsh in the National Curriculum for Wales”” substitute “August 2015 entitled “Cwricwlwm Cymru: Rhaglen Astudio ar gyfer Cymraeg – Cyfnodau Allweddol 2-4””; and
(d) after the definition of “the Welsh document” insert—“
 “the Welsh second language document” (“y ddogfen Cymraeg ail iaith”) means the document published by the Welsh Ministers in August 2015 entitled “Welsh second language in the National Curriculum for Wales – Key Stages 2-4”;”.
(3) For article 15 substitute—“
15. 

(1) The provisions relating to attainment targets and programmes of study set out in the Welsh document and the Welsh second language document have effect for the purpose of specifying the attainment targets and programmes of study in relation to Welsh.
(2) The examples printed in italics in the Welsh document and the Welsh second language document (which serve to illustrate the programmes of study described therein) do not form part of the provision made by this Order.”
