These Regulations may be cited as the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st January 2001.

In regulation 2 (Interpretation and transitional provision) of the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs Regulations 1985 for the definition of “ATP” there shall be substituted:“
 “ATP” means the Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs and on the Special Equipment to be used for such Carriage (ATP) concluded at Geneva on 1st September 1970 as amended pursuant to Article 18 of the Agreement and as further amended pursuant to that Article by an amendment to Article 18 which came into force on 15 May 1991, an amendment to Article 5 which came into force on 30 April 1999, an addition to Article 10 which came into force on 30 April 1999 and amendments to Annex 1, Appendix 2 which came into force on 30 April 1999;”.
