(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Scottish Elections (Reform) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 29 September 2021.
(2) In these Regulations, “the 2020 Act” means the Scottish Elections (Reform) Act 2020.

The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the 2020 Act specified in column 1 of the table in the schedule (the subject matter of which is specified in column 2 of that table) is 29 September 2021.
3 
The provisions of the 2020 Act brought into force by these Regulations do not have effect in relation to an election for which the date of poll is on or before 4 May 2022.
