(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Amendment No. 9) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation at 4.00 am on 19th March 2021.
(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020.

The principal Regulations are amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 7.

In regulation 3(10) (requirement to provide information), for “14th day” substitute “10th day”.

In regulation 4 (requirement to self-isolate)—
(a) in paragraph (1A) for “14th day” substitute “10th day”;
(b) in paragraph (13) for “14th day” substitute “10th day”.

In regulation 4B(2)(c) (prohibition on arrival of aircraft into Northern Ireland) for “the aircraft is”, on the first occasion it appears, substitute “an aircraft”.

In Schedule 5 (countries or territories subject to additional measures)—
(a) in the appropriate places insert “Ethiopia”, “Oman”, “Qatar” and “Somalia”;
(b) omit the entries for “Mauritius” and “Portugal”.

In Schedule 6 (prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels)—
(a) in paragraph 1 (aircraft)—
(i) omit the entries for “The Azores”, “Madeira” and “Portugal”;
(ii) in the appropriate places insert “Ethiopia”, “Oman” and “Qatar”;
(b) in paragraph 2 (vessels), for “The Azores”, “Madeira” and “Portugal” substitute “No countries or territories are listed for the purposes of regulation 4C(1) (prohibition of arrival of vessels into Northern Ireland)”.

In relation to any person who arrived in Northern Ireland before the coming into operation of these Regulations, the principal Regulations apply as if the amendments made by regulations 3 to 7 had not been made.
