(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation on 18th August 2021.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

(1) The following amendments are made to Schedule 1 to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 (which specifies controlled drugs that are subject to the requirements of regulations 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 26 and 27 of those Regulations).
(2) In paragraph 1(a)—
(a) after “Etryptamine” insert “Flualprazolam (8-chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepine)”;
(b) after “Flubromazolam (8-Bromo-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-4H -[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a][1,4] benzodiazepine)” insert “Flunitrazolam (6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-8-nitro-4H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepine)”;
(c) after “Nitrazolam (1-Methyl-8-nitro-6-phenyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepine)” insert “Norfludiazepam (7-chloro-5-(2-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one)”.
