These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture (Student fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 and shall come into operation on the 1st August 2020.

The Agriculture (Student fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 shall be amended as provided by regulations 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

In regulation 1(2) after the definition of “higher education” insert-“
 “international students” has the meaning assigned by regulation 4(5);”

In regulation 4 (1) for “£1,690” substitute “£1,735”:

After regulation 4(3) insert-“
(4) Subject to paragraph (5) and Regulation 5 the fee payable to the Department by an international student for each week of tuition in respect of a full time higher education course shall be £300.
(5) International students are defined as persons undertaking a course of study at the College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise who are not included in the categories of person under Schedule 2 Part 2 of The Education (Student Support) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009.”
