This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Covert Surveillance and Property Interference – Code of Practice) (Scotland) Order 2018 and comes into force on 28th February 2018.

(1) This article applies to the code of practice entitled “Covert Surveillance and Property Interference” which—
(a) relates to the exercise and performance of powers and duties conferred and imposed by and under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Scotland) Act 2000 in relation to the use of covert surveillance and Part III of the Police Act 1997 in relation to interference with property and wireless telegraphy; and
(b) was issued by the Scottish Ministers on 11th December 2017.
(2) The code of practice comes into force on 28th February 2018.

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers (Covert Surveillance and Property Interference – Code of Practice) (Scotland) Order 2015 is revoked.
