These Regulations may be cited as the Fireworks (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2016 and come into force on 1st March 2016.

In regulation 2 (interpretation) of the Fireworks (Scotland) Regulations 2004—
(a) for the definition of “adult firework”, substitute—“
 “adult firework” means a—
(a) category F2 firework (within the meaning set out in paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Pyrotechnic Articles (Safety) Regulations 2015);
(b) category F3 firework (within the meaning set out in paragraph 3 of that Schedule); or
(c) category F4 firework (within the meaning set out in paragraph 4 of thatSchedule);”;
(b) omit the following definitions—
(i) “amorce”;
(ii) “BS 7114”;
(iii) “cap”;
(iv) “category 3 firework”;
(v) “category 4 firework”;
(vi) “cracker snap”;
(vii) “novelty match”;
(viii) “party popper”;
(ix) “pyrotechnic composition”;
(x) “serpent”;
(xi) “sparkler”; and
(xii) “throwdown”; and
(c) omit the word “and” immediately after the definition of “the enforcement duty”.
