(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Conservation Areas) (Consultation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 and shall come into operation on 15th April 2015.
(2) In these Regulations—
 “the Act” means the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011;
 “council” means a district council;
 “Department” means the Department of the Environment.

Before making, varying or cancelling a conservation area designation under section 104 of the Act the council must consult with:
(a) the Department;
(b) the Department for Regional Development; and
(c) any water or sewerage undertaker.

(1) Before making a conservation area designation under section 104 of the Act the Department must consult with the Department for Regional Development and any water or sewerage undertaker.
(2) Before varying or cancelling any such designation the Department must consult with:
(a) the council concerned;
(b) the Department for Regional Development; and
(c) any water or sewerage undertaker.

These Regulations revoke the Planning (Conservation Areas) (Consultation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006.
