These Regulations shall be known as the Juries (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2013.

Schedule 1 to the Juries Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 shall be amended as follows.

In Form 1—
(a) under “PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE”, for “1st September”, substitute “1st July”;
(b) in paragraph 3(d) of Section A, after “community service order”, insert “or a community payback order with an unpaid work or other activity requirement imposed under section 227A or 227M of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995”;
(c) in paragraph 4 of Section A, after “probation”, insert “or had made in respect of him a community payback order under section 227A of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 that did not include an unpaid work or other activity requirement under section 227A(2)(c)”;
(d) in Section C, for “medical practitioners”, substitute “medical practitioners (registered with the General Medical Council)”.

In Form 2, in Part I, question 1, for “1st September”, substitute “1st July”.

Regulation 5(d) is of no effect in respect of a form served on a person given notice under Article 4(3) of the Juries (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 before the coming into operation of these Regulations.
