These Regulations may be cited as the Colours in Food (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 6th April 2007.

In regulation 2(1) (Interpretation) of the Colours in Food Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 for the definition of “Directive 95/45/EC” there is substituted—“
 “Directive 95/45/EC” means Commission Directive 95/45/EC laying down specific criteria of purity concerning colours for use in foodstuffs as amended by Directive 1999/75/EC, Directive 2001/50/EC, Directive 2004/47/EC and Directive 2006/33/EC””.
