This Order may be cited as the Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2003.

The provisions of the Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1999, listed in the Schedule to the Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2003, insofar as they have not been commenced save for Schedule 2 paragraphs 5 and 6 shall come into operation on 1st December 2003 for proceedings in the Crown Court and at committal proceedings in the magistrates' courts.

Article 4(1)(b) and (2) to (5) and Article 5, Article 6(1)(b), Articles 7, 9(6) and 7 (insofar as they relate to proceedings in the Crown Court and at committal proceedings in the magistrates' courts) shall come into operation on 1st December 2003.

The following provisions of the Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 shall come into operation on 1st December 2003, namely
(a) Articles 1, 2, 3, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 39(2);
(b) paragraphs 2, 4 and 6 of Schedule 1;.
(c) paragraphs 3 and 4 of Schedule 2;
(d) Schedule 3 insofar as it relates to the entries for the Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 1978 and 81B of the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989.
