These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2003.

The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to these regulations as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

(1) The Misuse of Drugs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (4).
(2) In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 there shall be inserted –
(a) after “Dihydrocodeinone O-carboxymethyloxime”, “Dihydroetorphine”; and
(b) after “Racemorphan”, “Remifentanil”.
(3) In paragraph 1, of Part I of Schedule 4 there shall be inserted –
(a) after “Haloxazolam”, “4-Hydroxy-n-butyric acid”; and
(b) after “N-Ethylamphetamine”, “Zolpidem”.
(4) In paragraph 1, of Part II of Schedule 4 there shall be inserted –
(a) before “Atamestane”, “4-Androstene-3, 17-dione” and “5-Androstene-3, 17 diol”; and
(b) after “Nandrolene”, “19-Nor-4-Androstene-3, 17 dione” and “19-Nor-5-Androstene-3, 17 diol”.
