(1) This Order may be cited as the South Tees Acute Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.
(2) In this Order—
 “the Order” means the South Tees Acute Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991;
 “the trust” means the National Health Service trust established by the Order.

(1) For article 3 of the Order (nature and functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article—“

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.
(2) The trust’s functions shall be to provide goods and services, namely hospital accommodation and services and community health services, for the purposes of the health service at or from the James Cook University Hospital, Marton Road, Middlesbrough, TS4 3BW and at or from Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, DL6 1JG, and at or from any associated hospitals, establishments or facilities.”.
(2) For article 4 of the Order (directors of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article—“

The trust shall have, in addition to the chairman, 5 executive and 6 non-executive directors.”
