These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration Appeals (Family Visitor) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 15th May 2002.

In these Regulations—
 “the 2000 Regulations” means the Immigration Appeals (Family Visitor) (No. 2) Regulations 2000; and
 “the 1999 Act” means the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

(1) Subject to (2) below, the definition of “entry clearance officer”, “fee” and “repayment” in regulation 2(1) and regulations 3 and 4 of the 2000 Regulations are hereby revoked.
(2) Where a person has appealed under section 59(2) of the 1999 Act before these Regulations come into force (whether or not that appeal has been determined), nothing in these Regulations shall prevent the repayment to a family visitor of a fee in accordance with regulations 3(3) and 4 of the 2000 Regulations.
