This Order may be cited as the Argyll and Bute Council and West Dunbartonshire Council Boundaries (Ardoch Sewage Works) Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st June 2002.

In this Order–
 “the 1977 Regulations” means the Local Government Area Changes (Scotland) Regulations 1977;
 “boundary map” means the map prepared by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland marked “The Argyll and Bute Council and West Dunbartonshire Council Boundaries (Ardoch Sewage Works) Amendment Order 2002 Map” and deposited in accordance with regulation 3 of the 1977 Regulations;and, in the Schedule, any reference to an administrative boundary is a reference to a boundary existing immediately before the commencement of this Order.

The provisions of the 1977 Regulations shall apply in relation to the area change effected by this Order except insofar as they can have no application in relation to that change.

That part of the area of Argyll and Bute Council, being the area described in the Schedule and shown delineated and hatched on the boundary map, shall be transferred to the area of West Dunbartonshire Council.

The area described in the Schedule (being the area transferred by article 4 of this Order)–
(a) shall cease to form part of electoral ward 36 (Cardross) of the area of Argyll and Bute Council; and
(b) shall form part of electoral ward 16 (Dumbarton West) of the area of West Dunbartonshire Council,

SCHEDULE
Article 4

Commencing on the existing administrative boundary between Argyll and Bute Council and West Dunbartonshire Council at a point NG Ref NS 3726 7591 on the A814; then generally south eastward and southward along the said administrative boundary to the centreline of the Firth of Clyde; then north westward along the centreline of the said firth to an undeterminable point in line with a drain to the west of Ardoch Sewage Works at NG Ref NS 3714 7570; then north eastward in a straight line to and north eastward and northward along the said drain to a field boundary at NG Ref NS 3719 7583; then northward along the said field boundary and its prolongation in a straight line to the A814; then south eastward along the said road to the point of commencement.
