This order shall be cited as the Halifax Education Action Zone (Extension and Variation) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st January 2002.

In this order—
 “Halifax Education Action Zone” means the Education Action Zone established by the Halifax Education Action Zone Order 1998.

The Halifax Education Action Zone is extended for a further period of two years beginning with 1st January 2002.

There shall be inserted after article 9 of the Halifax Education Action Zone Order 1998 the following article—“
9A 
A member of the Forum may be removed from office by the Forum in the following circumstances—
(a) in the case of a member who was a governor of a zone school at the time he was appointed to the Forum pursuant to either article 4a or article 5, if that person ceases to be a governor at that zone school, or a governor of the relevant category as the case may be;
(b) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to either article 4(a) or 5, if the school whose governing body appointed him, or to which he was connected, is discontinued;
(c) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to article 4(c), if the body in question is dissolved or otherwise ceases to exist;
(d) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to article 5(a), (b), (c) or (d), if that person no longer appears to the Forum to represent the interests of either head teachers, governors, or parents of pupils at zone schools, or business in the area served by the zone schools, as the case may be;
(e) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to article 5(e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m), (n), (o), (p), or (q), if that person no longer appears to the Forum to represent either voluntary, community and charitable sectors in the area served by the zone schools: the Design Dimension Educational Trust; the health sector in the area served by the zone schools; the Social Services Department of the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale, the West Yorkshire Police Force, the Calderdale Federation of Professional Teachers Association, the Calderdale Association for Parents; UNISON; the Diocese of Leeds School Commission, the Wakefield Diocesan Board of Education, the Calderdale and Kirklees Careers Service Partnership, the University of Huddersfield, or the Calderdale Childcare Partnership, as the case may be;
(f) in the case of a member appointed pursuant to article 5(s), if that person no longer appears to the Forum to be able to further the objects of the zone.”

(2) In Schedule 1, the words “Calderdale and Kirklees TEC” are deleted.
(3) In Schedule 2, the words “Queens Road Junior and Infant School” are deleted.
