(1) This Order may be cited as the Ministerial and other Salaries Order 2001.
(2) This Order shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

For the annual amount, or the maximum and minimum annual amounts, of salary specified in Parts 1 to 4 of Schedule 1 to the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975 (“the 1975 Act”) in relation to each office specified in the first column of Schedule 1 to this Order there is substituted, in the case of a holder of the office who is a member of the House of Lords—
(a) for the interim period, the amount specified in relation to the office in the second column of Schedule 1 to this Order;
(b) from 1st April 2002, that amount increased by £2,000 together with any increase in accordance with section 1A of the 1975 Act.

For the annual amount of salary specified in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the 1975 Act in relation to each of the positions specified in the first column of Schedule 2 to this Order there is substituted—
(a) for the interim period, the amount specified in relation to the position in the second column of Schedule 2 to this Order;
(b) from 1st April 2002, that amount increased by £2,000 together with any increase in accordance with section 1A of the 1975 Act.

In this Order “the interim period” means the period starting with 20th June 2001 and ending with 31st March 2002.
