This order may be cited as the A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route (Bus Priority) Traffic Order 1999 Experimental Variation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 31st March 2000.

The A1 Trunk Road (Islington) Red Route (Bus Priority) Traffic Order 1999 is varied so that the table in schedule 1 is substituted by the following Table—

3. A1 Upper Street—east and south-east side, between the south western kerbline of Duncan Street and a point 95.0 metres south west of that kerbline. At any time South westbound With-flow Local Bus, Pedal Cycle
4. A1 Upper Street—north-west side, between a point 25 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Liverpool Road and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 27 and 28 Upper Street. 7 am to 7 pm Monday to Saturday North Eastbound With-flow Bus, Taxi, Pedal Cycle, Dial-a-ride bus

If it appears to the Traffic Director for London, or some person authorised by him, essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic, or of the provision of suitable and adequate parking facilities on the highway, or for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by this Order runs, and after consulting with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, he may modify or suspend any provision of this Order, save that no modification shall make an addition.
