(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Dual-Use Items (Export Control) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 10th January 2001.

(1) The following amendment shall be made in Schedule 2 to the Dual-Use Items (Export Control) Regulations 2000:—
(a) in entry 1C950a of CATEGORY 1—MATERIALS, CHEMICALS, MICROORGANISMS & TOXINS, the entry “, .b.3” shall be inserted after the entry “.b.2”.
(b) The following exception shall be inserted into each of entries 9E990 and 9E991 of Category 9E of CATEGORY 9—AIRCRAFT, SPACE VEHICLES, PROPULSION SYSTEMS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT:—“except technical data, drawings or documentation for maintenance activities directly associated with calibration, removal or replacement of damaged or unserviceable items that are necessary for the continuing airworthiness and safe operation of civil “aircraft”.”
