These Regulations may be cited as The M65 Motorway (Junction 1A) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 30th October 2000.

(1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on the restricted length of the motorway.
(2) “the restricted length of the motorway” means the exit slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the M65 motorway, at Chorley, in the County of Lancashire, from a point 200.1 metres west of the centreline of the A49 Wigan Road (Underbridge) to a point 440.7 metres west of the centreline of the A49 Wigan Road (Underbridge), a total distance of 240.6 metres.
