(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2000, and shall come into force on 1st September 2000.
(2) These Regulations shall apply only in relation to England.
(3) These Regulations shall apply in relation to a school year beginning on or after the date that they come into force.

(1) The Education (Assisted Places) Regulations 1997 shall be amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 10(4) and (6), for “£1,300” in each place where it appears there shall be substituted “£1,400”.
(3) In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2, for “£10,670” there shall be substituted “£10,901”.
(4) For the table following paragraph 2(1) of that Schedule there shall be substituted the following table—
