These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (General) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 25th August 2000.

In regulation 2B of the Housing Benefit (General) Regulations 1987 (cases in which section 1(1A) of the Administration Act is disapplied)—
(a) in paragraph (a) the word “or” shall be omitted;
(b) after the word “claimed” in paragraph (b) there shall be added the following words—“; or
(c) to a claim for a further grant of housing benefit made before 5th September 2000 under regulation 72(12) to (14) (time and manner in which claims are to be made).”.

For regulation 2B of the Council Tax Benefit (General) Regulations 1992 (requirement to state national insurance number) there shall be substituted the following—“
2B 
Section 1(1A) of the Administration Act (requirement to state national insurance number) shall not apply in the case of a—
(a) child or young person in respect of whom council tax benefit is claimed;
(b) claim for a further grant of council tax benefit made before 5th September 2000 under regulation 62(13) to (15) (time and manner in which claims are to be made).”.
