This Order may be cited as the Highway Litter Clearance and Cleaning (Transfer of Responsibility) (A13 Trunk Road) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 2nd July 2000.

There shall be transferred to the Secretary of State from each local authority listed in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order the responsibility for the discharge of the duties imposed by section 89 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 as respects the part of the A13 trunk road specified in relation to that local authority in column 2 of that Schedule.

Names of Local Authorities Parts of the A13 trunk road for which duties are transferred
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham That part of the A13 trunk road eastwards from the boundary between the London Boroughs of Newham and Barking and Dagenham on the River Roding to the boundary between the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Havering.
London Borough of Havering That part of the A13 trunk road eastwards from the boundary between the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Havering to the boundary between the London Borough of Havering and the Borough of Thurrock.
London Borough of Newham That part of the A13 trunk road eastwards from the boundary between the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Newham on the river Lea to the boundary between the London Boroughs of Newham and Barking and Dagenham on the River Roding.
London Borough of Tower Hamlets That part of the A13 trunk road eastwards from its junction with Butcher Row and White Horse to the boundary between the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Newham on the River Lea.
