(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing Grants (Additional Purposes) (England) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 4th July 2000.
(2) This Order extends to England only.

In this Order, “the Act” means the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.

For the purposes of section 12 of the Act (renovation grants: purposes for which grant may be given), an additional purpose specified is the following—
 to improve energy efficiency.

For the purposes of section 17 of the Act (common parts grant: purposes for which grant may be given), an additional purpose specified is the following—
 to improve energy efficiency.
5 
For the purposes of section 27 of the Act (HMO grants: purposes for which grant may be given), an additional purpose specified is the following—
 to improve energy efficiency.
6 
This Order shall not have effect in relation to an application for a grant made before the date on which this Order comes into force.
