(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Vocational Training for General Medical Practice) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st March 2000.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the National Health Service (Vocational Training for General Medical Practice) (Scotland) Regulations 1998.
(3) In these Regulations “primary care NHS trust” means an NHS trust to which certain functions referred to in section 12AA of the Act are delegated by the Health Board.
(4) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.

In regulation 4 of the principal Regulations (experience and certificates required)–
(a) in paragraph (2) after the words “Health Board” there is inserted “or primary care NHS trust”; and
(b) in paragraph (3) after the words “Health Board” there is inserted “or primary care NHS trust”.

In regulation 14 of the principal Regulations (appeal bodies) in paragraph 3(d) after the words “Health Board” where they first appear there is inserted “or primary care NHS trust”.
