(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st July 2000.
(2) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.

In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Scotland) Regulations 2000.

In regulation 2 (interpretation) of the principal Regulations–
(a) in paragraph (1) in the definition of “disabled person’s badge” after “means” there shall be inserted, “, subject to paragraph (1A),”; and
(b) after paragraph (1) there shall be inserted–“
(1A) For the purposes of regulations 12 to 16, the definition of “disabled person’s badge” in paragraph (1) shall include a badge issued under Regulations having effect in England or Wales under section 21 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.”
