(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (Miscellaneous Amendments No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 and shall come into operation—
(a) for the purposes of this regulation and regulation 3, on 2nd April 2000; and
(b) for the purposes of regulation 2, on 3rd April 2000.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.

In regulation 22A(3) of the Income Support (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987 (reduction in applicable amount where the claimant is appealing against a decision that he is not incapable of work) for “made on the first application of the test to the claimant” there shall be substituted “the first determination made in accordance with, the all work test before 3rd April 2000 or, after that date, the personal capability assessment, in relation to the claimant”.

Regulation 4(2)(b) of the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 is hereby revoked.
