These Regulations may be cited as The Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park (Vehicle Parking) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force the day after the day on which they are made.

The Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park (Vehicle Parking) Regulations 1995 are amended as follows–
(1) Regulation 2 is amended by inserting, after the definition of “constable”, the following definition–“
 “holiday” means Christmas Day, Good Friday or any day which is a bank holiday in England in accordance with The Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971;”
(2) Regulation 3 is revoked and the following regulation substituted–“

Subject to regulation 8 no person shall allow a vehicle to remain parked in a parking place in–
(a) Hyde Park at any time between 08:30 hours and 18:30 hours, or
(b) The Regent’s Park at any time between 09:00 hours and 18:30 hourson any day, unless a valid parking ticket is displayed in the vehicle in such a way that it is clearly visible to a person outside the vehicle.”
(3) Regulation 4 is revoked, and the following regulation substituted–“

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), no person shall allow a vehicle to remain parked in a parking place in Hyde Park or The Regent’s Park during the periods referred to in regulation 3 for more than four continuous hours.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply in respect of parking on a Sunday or holiday.”
(4) Regulation 6 is revoked and the following regulation substituted–“

The charge for a parking ticket shall be–
(a) for parking in Hyde Park or The Regent’s Park on a Sunday or holiday, 25 pence for each fifteen minutes or part thereof;
(b) for parking in Hyde Park or The Regent’s Park on any other day, 5 pence for every two minutes or part thereof.”
(5) Paragraph (4) of Regulation 8 is revoked.
