This Order may be cited as the Housing (Right to Acquire) (Discount) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 2nd December 1999.

In article 2 of the Housing (Right to Acquire) (Discount) Order 1999—
(a) at the beginning there shall be inserted “—(1) Subject to paragraph (2)”;
(b) at the end there shall be added—“
(2) Where the amount of discount under paragraph (1) is greater than 50% of the value of the dwelling house at the relevant time determined in accordance with section 127 of the Housing Act 1985, as it applies by virtue of regulation 2(1) of the Housing (Right to Acquire) Regulations 1997, the amount of discount shall be 50% of the value so determined of the dwelling house.”.

This Order does not apply in a case where a notice has been served claiming to exercise the right to acquire before this Order comes into force.
