This Order may be cited as the Greater Manchester (Light Rapid Transit System) (Airport Extension Order 1997) (Moor Road Modification) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 18th February 1999.

In this Order–
 “the 1997 Order” means the Greater Manchester (Light Rapid Transit System) (Airport Extension) Order 1997; and
 “authorised street tramway”, “the scheduled works”, “street tramway” and “the undertaker” have the same meaning as in the 1997 Order.

(1) The undertaker may construct and maintain Work No. 10A as specified in the Schedule to this Order in lieu of a part of Works Nos. 10 and 11 authorised by the 1997 Order (being the part of Work No. 10 40 metres in length and the part of Work No. 11 88 metres in length extending in each case from the junction of those works) and may construct and maintain the remainder of Works Nos. 10 and 11 authorised by the 1997 Order so as to form a junction with the commencement and termination of Work No. 10A respectively.
(2) The 1997 Order shall have effect as if–
(a) the works specified in the Schedule to this Order formed part of the scheduled works;
(b) Work No. 10A were an authorised street tramway;
(c) there were added to Schedule 4 of the 1997 Order, in the second and third column respectively after the reference to Crewe Road, the following–“
Moor Lane Kerb line to be realigned between WS89 and WS90 on east and west sides between a point 115 metres south of Newlands Road and a point 190 metres south of that road;” and
(d) the Order Plans, sections and book of reference deposited with the application for this Order formed part of the Order Plans, sections and the book of reference respectively of the 1997 Order.

The undertaker shall, as soon as practicable after the making of this Order, submit copies of the book of reference, the Order Plans and the sections to the Secretary of State for certification that they are true copies of, respectively, the book of reference, the Order Plans and the sections referred to in this Order; and a document so certified shall be admissible in any proceedings as evidence of the contents of the document of which it is a copy.

Work No. 10A 
A street tramway 128 metres in length (double line) commencing by a junction with Work No. 10 of the 1997 Order 40 metres from its point of termination as authorised by that Order and running thence in a southerly direction along Moor Road before terminating on the western side of that road 25 metres south of its junction with Crewe Road.
